High temperatures and a lack of rain caused the Adams County Board of Supervisors to issue a countywide burn ban Wednesday at a specially called meeting.

The Adams County Board of Supervisors issued a burn ban effective immediately until July 7. The ban was approved by the Mississippi Forestry Commission without exceptions.
